Alex S. DeVille was born and raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Alex earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Creighton University in 2020. While at Creighton, Alex was active in his community where he regularly volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and even co-founded the Gifford Park Clean-Up Crew.
After touring several law schools, Alex fell in love with Boise, Idaho, and chose to attend the University of Idaho College of Law on the Boise campus. He received his Juris Doctorate and passed the bar exam in 2023, marking the beginning of his legal career. Shortly after, Alex joined the Ada County Public Defender’s Office, which later transitioned into the State Public Defender’s Office. In this role, he gained invaluable experience advocating for clients, ensuring that all members of the community received competent legal representation. His work in trial advocacy, as well as motion practice, honed his skills and prepared him for the next chapter in his legal career.
In July of 2024, Alex joined Powers Farley as an associate. He is excited to contribute to the firm’s longstanding commitment to providing exceptional legal services and looks forward to taking on more responsibility as his practice grows.
Alex welcomed his first-born into the world in July 2023. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, as well as golfing, climbing, cooking, and enjoying the great outdoors.
