Luke J. Nickodemus is an Idaho native who grew up in Payette, Idaho. He graduated from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Marketing with a PGA Golf Management Option. Upon completion of his Bachelor’s degree Luke worked as a PGA Professional in Colorado and Kansas, becoming one of the youngest golf course general managers in the country before returning to the University of Idaho. At the University of Idaho, he then began to teach classes and manage the internships in the PGA Program he graduated from. While running the PGA Golf Management Program at the University of Idaho he completed his Executive MBA in 2017 summa cum laude. With practical experience and a master’s degree complete Luke then began teaching as a faculty member in the College of Business and Economics now adding Introduction to Business classes. While still teaching classes as a Professor, Luke began the process of completing his law degree on an adjusted basis in 2018 to allow for his full-time work with the University of Idaho. Luke graduated in 2023 from law school after focusing on practical and business law classes to get as much hands on legal experience as possible before joining Powers Farley in January 2024.
While law has become Luke’s focus, he still maintains his PGA Professional certification and enjoys working with juniors to teach them golf during the summer. Luke is also an avid user of the public lands and outdoor spaces in Idaho, and you can find him somewhere in the state hiking, skiing, or golfing depending on the season.
